Synopsis

In the midst of the current global pandemic (COVID-19), the world has been faced with numerous challenges. With the global economy being on a partial shutdown, people’s lives have been negatively affected. In these times of afflictions and in this global pandemic, it is possible for us to lose heart, hence the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 4 reminds the Christian believers not to lose heart because they have received a ministry of mercy, a ministry of sharing the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to the afflicted, the sick and the hopeless world.

This is the time for Christian believers to pray for the sick and to minister the Gospel to a lost and dying world.

In 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, the Bible says “therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

In this time of our momentary affliction, the LORD is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory for His Children. How real is this hope for you?
