Synopsis
Rootlessness, vanity and wickedness – that is how we can describe that ancient culture of Cain, but it is in every sense a description of all secular cultures, including our own. If ever there was a day in which civilisation was attempting to form itself without God, it is the day in which we live.
Cain tried this earlier on, and was unsuccessful. And modern civilisations ar doing the same. But the truth remains unchanged – our roots are in God; and if we will not have God, we are condemned to be spiritual vagabonds. To pursue civilisation without God is to be the most uncivilised. It is an illusion of progress.
