Synopsis
Paul is one individual who prayed constantly and with great passion. He also urged believers to pray without ceasing. Even at the beginning of the book of Romans, he makes it known to the believers in Rome that "without ceasing [he] mention[s] them always in [his] prayers". However, in this passage, he states that "we do not know what to pray for as we ought" – by saying "we", he is including himself! Isn't it surprising for a man of Paul's stature to write such words? What then, is it that he is trying to say to us? Listen as Pastor Makashinyi expounds on three things highlighted in this passage, namely; (1) Our limitations in prayer, (2) the role that The Holy Spirit has in our prayers, and (3) the efficacy that is implicitly promised to us in our prayers.
