Synopsis
The earth's is the LORD's and everything in it (Psalm 24:1), we are just a mere stewards (trustees) who have been charged with the cultural mandate to take care of the earth and subdue it (Genesis 1:28). A Christian ought to understand that God owns everything and that the money that we have is from the LORD and that money merely a tool that the LORD has provided for us in order that we may fulfill His glorious purposes in our generation, therefore money ought not to be our idol.
The LORD is the One that gives the ability to make wealth (Deuteronomy 8:17-18), therefore as stewards of what God has entrusted to us, we ought to be faithful in how we manage our finances and also fruitful that is we ought to multiply what we have been given in order to honor our God, we should not be like the foolish servant who buried his talent.
