Two tragedies are possible for every human soul: That of never trembling as one comes face to face with his own sin before a holy God; and that of disregarding such Spirit-produced trembling. Felix trembled when Paul preached the gospel to him clearly and powerfully, but he was not willing to hear more, nor to repent — and at that very moment, his soul suffered a tragic loss of infinite proportions. (Acts 24:25)
